Virginia Faye Lyons Nance, age 86, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away October 25, 2017, surrounded by her loving family three days following a stroke. She was born on February 18, 1931, in Sulphur, to Roseanna Moss Lyons and Enoch Isaac Lyons.

Virginia was a graduate of Sulphur High School, attended Business school and worked seven years for Hixon Funeral Home before marrying Roy David Nance of Beaumont and began her chosen career of Mother and Home Maker.

In this, Virginia shined brightly and was an inspiration to us.  She took the job and raised it to an artistic level, with her keen eye for detail, balance, and beauty.

This showed in her home, her garden, and her girls.  She spent her life imparting to her loved ones her vision of beautiful living through her multiple and various talents and solid set of values.

She cherished time spent with friends and family and following what each was engaged in.  Virginia leaves a great legacy to us and will live on forever in our hearts.

Virginia is survived by sister, Nora Belle Savant of Durbin South Africa; five daughters, Cindy Nance, Kathy Boles, Tara Holland, Leslie and husband Jim Burkhardt, Grayson and husband Pete Harris; twelve loving grandchildren; and one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she all adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Betty Jean Williams, Deanna Sue Bergeron; and brother, Clinton Ray Lyons.

A gathering of Ms. Nance’s family and friends will be 10 a.m., with her memorial service at 11 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2017, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
