Jerry Dean Johnson

Jerry Dean Johnson, 81, died Sunday, June 17, 2018, surrounded by family in his home.

Born in DeRidder, Jerry was a 1955 graduate of DeRidder High School. After graduation, Jerry served six years in the U. S. Navy. A 55-year resident of Sulphur, he retired from PPG Industries after 40 years of service. Jerry liked to travel, fish, and hunt but his passion was being “Pappaw” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd “Sub” and Rosa Johnson; three brothers, Richard “Billy” Johnson, Floyd “Spud” Johnson, Jr. and Robert Johnson; two sisters, Velma Cheever and Dorothy Craig.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Judy Delouche Johnson; his sister, Jo Ann Johnson; three daughters, Jennifer Stelly (Frank), Deanna Johnson and Janell Johnson (Trevor Dean); two brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law, Kenneth DeLouche, Donald DeLouche, and Susan Meador; four grandchildren, Marty Lesperance (Darcy), Kristen Domingue (Craig), Connor and Cara Dean; four great-grandchildren, Cooper and Grayson Domingue, Olivia and J.B. Lesperance.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family received friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Wednesday, June 20 at 8 a.m. until time of the service.
