Parks and Recreation Month: SPAR offers wide variety of programs

Join SPAR in celebration of Parks & Recreation Month and the benefits of having a vibrant park system for the residents of Ward 4 District 2.
A variety of activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities, including Sunset Yoga, Gametime at the Parks, SPAR Arts & Recreation, National Waterpark Day, Bootcamp at the Grove, Sensory Swim at the waterpark, Tennis Clinics at McMurry, and the Center Circle Design Charrette on July 12.
SPAR participates in this initiative through the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) to highlight the importance and impact of providing spaces that enhance physical, mental, and the overall well being of residents.
“Local park and recreation agencies play a vital role in health and wellness, economic impact, and environmental resilience through open spaces and sports,” said AunJelle Burton, Recreation Manager.
Fall Sports, including football, soccer, and volleyball registration for Ward 4 District 2 will take place throughout July and into August. Registration forms can be found at www.sulphurparks.com/recsports.
